A database is an organized collection of structured information, or data, typically stored electronically in a computer system. Database has the highly valuable transaction, information, events, activities etc. of company operations. Data within the most common types of databases in operation today is typically modeled in rows and columns in a series of tables to make processing and data querying efficient. There are different DBMS products that help companies to manage their data. All of them uses structured approach to define and store data and uses SQL to retrive as and when required.
